The male develop a bigger Nuchal hump ( the protusion formed from fatty deposits on the forehead) make them also known as Humphead or Lionhead cichlid. It always spends most of its time resting on the aquarium floor with their pelvic fins act as a "foot" and swim with short-hopping-motion, appearing to bounce around the tank floor.
