Several Brachyrhamdia species have developed colour patterns that mimic Corydoras spp.
They’re easily told apart from Corydoras by their significantly longer barbels and lack of scute-like plates on the body. No one knows exactly if this adaptation evolved as a means of protection from predators or to provide a competitive feeding advantage whereby items unearthed by the Corydoras school, and possibly their eggs, are consumed. This species is rarely-seen in the aquarium trade and only tends to be encountered as a contaminant among shipments of other species.

Small armoured catfish from South America. They are peaceful and ideal inmates for the community tank, where they will swim in small groups in search of food. Adolfoi named for legendary fish collector Adolfo Schwartz, who first made this species available to aquarists.

This Adolfoi Dedicated to my friend, fish lover and great artist based in South Korea.

Happy Birthday Danbee! :D
The spectacular colors exhibited by male bluenose shiners in breeding condition place them among the most beautiful minnows in North America. As the common name indicates, breeding males have bright blue snouts. The extremely enlarged dorsal, pelvic, and anal fins are also colorful. Bluenose shiners usually inhabit quiet backwaters and vegetated pools of streams and rivers.

Small and useful plecos in highly planted tank, the Oto or also known as "Algae-scraper" make this species really famous in aquaria. Otocinclus have an air-filled sac to helps them swim high in the water column (not like other armoured catfishes which sink because they are so bony). There are more than 15 species of Oto in the world. This species is now rarely seen, possibly due to habitat loss and land-use changes in its native habitat.

This species can be told apart from other Freshwater hatchetfish by its larger adult size with marbled colour pattern appearing as a series of dark and light stripes running diagonally across the body below the lateral line. This fish spend almost all of their time at or towards the surface and they also can Jump out of the water to avoid predator. This species are not commercially bred, all fish offered for sale collected in the wild.

Blackghost can swim forwards, backwards, sideways, upside-down and pretty much any other angle - fascinating to watch. It is the most popular knifefish in Indonesia and mostly sold as juvenile (50 milimetres long). This fish grow large, up to half metre long, and aggressive species especially with other black-ghost. It has a weak electric organ near the caudal peducle which it uses to locate food.
This species is also known by the names “Hockey Stick Catfish”, “Lima Shovelnose”, “Chiripira”, “Chucharón” and “Pico de pato”. Its depressed head, make it very distinctive from other catfish species. Sorubim spp. often swim in a characteristic, vertically-orientated posture with the head pointing downwards and caudal fin uppermost.
Green Neon Tetra is not bred on a commercial basis and is thus less common and usually more expensive than other Neon. Green Neon differing in possessing a greener lateral stripe which covers more of the eye or head and extends to the caudal-fin base, a lesser amount of relatively duller red pigmentation, and smaller in size. It’s sometimes traded as ‘false neon tetra’ or ‘blue neon tetra’.
The Cardinal tetra is a very popular aquarium fish, just like its relatives, the Neon. It differs in possessing relatively more red pigment on the body, a broader blue lateral stripe and a less distinct white marking on the anal-fin. Cardinal Tetra is now commercially bred on a large scale with selectively-produced ornamental strains including ‘gold’ and albino. Buy a group of at least 8 of these, or maybe more. All Neons are shoaling species by nature.
One of the most popular and instantly recognisable fishes in the aquarium hobby. Neon name came from its Blue-Lateral-stripe which is used to confuse predator. This species has been selectively-bred to produce a number of additional strains including albino, ‘golden’ (leucistic), short-bodied, long-finned and ‘diamond’ (in which the dorsal surface is covered in reflective scales).
Nannus (latin), meaning ‘small‘, and Stoma (Greek), meaning ‘mouth’, in reference to the small mouthparts of member species. Eques, meaning ‘knight, horseman, rider’, in reference to this species’ oblique swimming angle. Pencil name come from its elongated body.  This very popular aquarium fish also known as Brown Pencilfish or Diptail Pencilfish. Too bad this species rarely available in Indonesia. :(
Also known as "Cendrawasih" (or Paradise Bird in Indonesia), These livebearers available in dozen of varieties, one of the most popular one is the "High Fin" with stunning long, translucent, yellowish-Dorsal fin. Males are smaller and possess a gonopodium, an organ for copulation, modified from his anal fin.
Commonly known as Amandae tetra, one of the smallest tetra (less than 1 inch!) in the aquarium with stunning bright orange-reddish color. Buy a group of at least 6 of these, or maybe more. They are shoaling species by nature.
